To perform a clean re-installation of ActivePDF Server 2013

Steps to perform a clean re-installation.
  1. Deactivate your license through the license manager.
  2. Uninstall the license manager using the add/remove program.
  3. Delete the following directories (this insures all old files are cleaned up):
    • C:\Windows\ActivePDF (If needed, to ensure legacy product files are not present)
    • C:\Program Files\ActivePDF
    • C:\ProgramData\ActivePDF
  4. Remove the following registry entries:
    • HKLM\SYSTEM\Control\Print\APSMon
    • HKLM\SYSTEM\Control\Print\Printers\Server
    • HKLM\SYSTEM\Control\Print\Printers\StaticSample
  5. Make sure all printers have been deleted/removed from your Printer and Fax list.
  6. Download the latest version of Server.
  7. Login to your server as a Local Admin to insure you have the necessary access.
  8. Install Server normally.

These steps should ensure that all old files and registry entries have been removed. If you are installing using a local admin account, you will be able to properly recreate any entries needed to function properly.
