Bug Fixes

The following bugs were resolved since the last release.

ID # Description Resolution
12345 After a document including an End-User-Defined Character (EUDC) was converted, the EUDC appeared much lighter in color than it did in the source document.

If DocConverter does not convert EUDC as expected, you can enable EUDC in the DC_Service.xml file.

For details, see this ActivePDF Knowledge Base article.

14314 When LibreOffice is used to convert .html files, and the converter profile is set to Export To PDF in Configuration Manager, a blank first page was added to the output file. Upgrading LibreOffice to 5.2.3 or higher resolves this issue.
15331 When email files that included attachments were converted to PDF, the same output filename was used for both the attachment and the email, resulting in the attachment file being overwritten, and only one output file being produced. DocConverter now assigns separate filenames when converting emails with attachments, and multiple output files are now produced.

When a PostScript® file was placed in a Watch Folder with Substitute True Type Fonts enabled, after conversion the wrong font was used.

The code related to PostScript to PDF conversion was updated, and now if Substitute True Type is enabled and PSFontPath is left blank., DocConverter provides the font path to the Windows font directory.

15668 When DocConverter was reinstalled, it created duplicate entries in the firewall inbound rules. The installation code was updated and now any existing DocConverter-related rules are deleted before new inbound rules are created.

When a new binary sequence to identify files for conversion was entered in the Signature Profiles tab in Configuration Manager, the binary sequence was not used by DocConverter to identify files.

Changes were made to code related to how Configuration Manager handled binary sequence information, and this resolved the issue.

These file-specific bugs were resolved.

These issues are now resolved.
