Requirements

For the latest activePDF products (e.g., activePDF Server 3.8.5 or Toolkit 4.1.0 and newer), activePDF Technical Support Tools v1.2.3 installs with the product and therefore has the same system requirements as the associated product.

For earlier versions of products, the system operating system for Support Tools 1.0.1 must be Windows 2000 or higher. The current version of Support Tools requires .NET Framework 2.0 which will be installed with the products. If you don't wish to install .NET Framework 2.0, you may use the older, less robust activePDF Technical Support tools by referring to the version in 10505'>KB #10505. Go back to the top.

What does Support Tools do?

The Support Tools gather information about your system and the activePDF Software installed on your system into one location. Viewing this information in one location is a huge advantage when troubleshooting technical issues. In addition to gathering the information, the Support Tools will indicate deviances from normal settings and provide links to resolutions when possible. Use the legend to determine the items that need attention. Support Tools also runs basic tests for each activePDF Software, ensuring and indicating that the base configuration of the software is working correctly. These tests produce output PDF that can be viewed as necessary, and sent for diagnostic purposes as part of an activePDF Technical Support Ticket. activePDF Support Tools are our recommend way to obtain system information, product information, enable software debugging, stopping and starting services, as well as gathering log files.
