Tim Sullivan, President & CEO, brings over 30 years of software development and management experience into leading activePDF. As activePDF’s Chief Architect, he is committed to applying his experience as a software developer to meet the needs of developers deploying activePDF solutions. Prior to founding activePDF, Tim spent 10 years with Automated Solutions Group, consulting companies such as Mexicana Airlines, Warner Bros. Records, Southern California Edison, Amway, AirTouch Cellular, Kaiser Permanente and dozens of others. Tim has also worked as the Technical Manager for Student Information Systems at the University of Southern California and as a Naval Engineering Programmer with Todd Pacific Shipyards. Tim studied at the University of California, Irvine and holds the distinct honor of being appointed to all three U.S. military academies: West Point, Annapolis and the United States Air Force Academy.

Nicole Diaz, Director of Product Development, is responsible for overseeing the growth of activePDF's server product line, including research and development, product marketing, and sales initiatives. A dedicated user advocate, Nicole is focused on ensuring that activePDF continually strives to improve the user experience while meeting the demands of the marketplace. Prior to joining activePDF, Nicole worked in the R&D organizations of Tyco Healthcare and Callaway Golf. Her previous roles included product development, document management, CAD/CAM data management, business process reengineering, and project management. Nicole holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from the University of Redlands in CA.

Jay Schlarb, Director of Sales, joined the company in 2012 and brings more than 10 years experience in B2B Sales and Customer Service in entrepreneurial environments to his new role at activePDF. His resourceful and proven innovative approach to new business growth, channel partner development and sales operations is ideally suited to the fast paced technology space. He has a demonstrated history of building successful organizations from the ground up through team building and training that create high level industry visibility and growth opportunities. Jay has recently relocated from Colorado to Southern California to take on his new responsibilities.

Emily Backus, Marketing Manager, joined the company in 2011. She brings more than 20 years of global B2B marketing experience to her role heading marketing, advertising, and public relations programs for activePDF. She has successfully branded and launched products and grown market share for aggressive start-up companies including Wonderware Corp. (industrial automation software), Local.com (internet search engine) and eEye Digital Security (security software). Emily is an award winning event management professional with a well-documented record of global events that resulted in expanded market share and increased revenue. She did her undergraduate bachelor studies at the University of Connecticut.

Melissa L. Dodds, Controller, brings more than 15 years experience to her role heading worldwide financial operations for activePDF.  Prior to joining activePDF, Melissa was Controller for a major Southern California real estate developer where she had responsibility for all financial day-to-day operations, budget forecasting and analysis, major contracts and agreements.  Melissa holds a BS from Cal State Fullerton.
