Maintenance Subscription  

Annual Subscription is much more than an annualized upgrade program. With benefits such as prioritized support and unlimited email correspondance, product trade-in value, access to beta software and password-protected resource areas of the activePDF website, Annual Subscription is a cost-effective method of maintaining a close rapport with activePDF and ensuring your activePDF product(s) are kept up to date.

Please note that effective September 1st, 2007, activePDF no longer provides free technical support to clients who do not have valid annual subscription. If you are unsure of your subscription status or if your subscription has expired and you would like to receive a quote summarizing the cost associated with updating your account profile, please send a request to subscriptions@activepdf.com.

How much does Annual Subscription cost?
Annual Subscription is typically 25% of the MSRP for products and 10% for "licenses" (thread and document increases).

What does Annual Subscription include?
Annual Subscription includes free major and minor upgrades on the product(s) you purchased for one full year, free priority technical support, access to beta software and password-protected resource areas of the activePDF website.

Is Annual Subscription the same as Premium Support?
No. While Annual Subscriber issues are given priority over those without Annual Subscription as clients without a valid subscription are no longer entitled to receive free support, Premium Support is available for purchase on a per-incident basis. Premium support (conducted primarily via telephone) is assigned a higher priority than Annual Subscriber issues. Annual Subscribers receive a 20% discount off the Premium Support list price. If I purchase 10 licenses, do I have to buy 10 Annual Subscriptions for each license?
Yes. If you only purchased one annual subscription, the remaining nine licenses would be not be covered under the Annual Subscription and so would not be eligible to gain from the benefits associated with Annual Subscription.

If I purchased my activePDF product(s) without annual subscription can I still purchase annual subscription separately after the fact?

Customers will have 90 days from the original product purchase date to buy subscription for the product(s) purchased. They will receive ‘free' subscription throughout this grace period, entitling them to all benefits associated with annual subscription. During this period, subscription can be purchased at a cost of 35% of MSRP. Subscription dates commence on the original purchase date.

When should I renew my subscription?
Annual subscription should be renewed on or before the subscription expiration date. activePDF charges an additional 10% for all product subscriptions renewed within 30 days following subscription expiration. After the 30-day period, it is no longer possible to purchase subscription renewals and any future product upgrades will only be available for purchase at full MSRP. Please note this new policy is effective immediately for all expirations after September 30th 2004. Please contact our Subscription Department for pricing.
