| activePDF Announces the Launch of Microsoft .NET Wrappers for all of its Components |
 |
MISSION VIEJO, California – September 24th, 2002
– activePDF Inc, a leading provider of server-side PDF development and
conversion tools for Windows NT, XP and 2000, is pleased to announce the arrival
of Microsoft .NET COM Interop wrappers for all of its components, available
now for free and instant download at the activePDF corporate website.
The new .NET wrappers are a result of the increasing number of requests for
.NET compatible components coming from activePDF end user clients. “To
insure compatibility with our thousands of installed customers, we have decided
at this time to create a bridge between the new and evolving .NET architecture
and our existing C++ COM product line”, stated activePDF CEO, Tim Sullivan.
“We’ve listened to our clients and kept our promise in keeping up
with new technologies as they emerge. Over time, we intend to port many of our
COM interfaces to 100% managed .NET code.”
To assist customers with this transition, activePDF have provided several examples
showing how to use the .NET assemblies in ASP.NET, all of which are available
on the activePDF website. All assemblies are strong named for inclusion in the
Global Assembly Cache and digitally signed with the activePDF Software Publisher
Certificate to assure you of their origin.
