Upgrade to activePDF DocConverter v3.8 and activePDF WebGrabbber v3.8 today!

Version 3.8 features significant improvements in the performance, speed, and overall reliability of these products as well as several enhancements. The most important points to note are as follows:

  • Both activePDF DocConverter and activePDF WebGrabber 3.8 now use the new SecureLM licensing technology, so all activePDF products (with the exception of activePDF Printer) now use the same licensing mechanism).
  • Support for Microsoft Office 2007 is now available in activePDF DocConverter 3.8.
  • Support for RTF file conversion has been added to the Default processor in activePDF DocConverter 3.8. The RTFO processor and service have been removed.
  • The DocConverter Maintenance application now includes an option to allow or disallow printing of tracked changes when producing 'Intelligent PDF' files.
  • An entry has been added to the log file to indicate when files are rejected due to password restrictions using activePDF DocConverter 3.8. The log file is now updated with a password rejection code of 50.
  • By default, the Default processor in activePDF DocConverter 3.8 is now set to check images (using CheckImagesFirst) before attempting conversion.
  • Improved WebGrabber logging in version 3.8. The log file is now updated with the PID of WPRHandler and the converted URL. In the event that the WPRHandler is terminated, the log file reflects the termination along with the specific PID of the terminated WPRHandler process.
  • A "watcher" thread has been added to monitor the WPRHandler.exe process in activePDF WebGrabber 3.8 to ensure it doesn't hang.
All customers with valid Annual Subscription are eligible to receive the upgrades to v3.8 free of charge. If you would like to obtain an upgrade, simply send an email to subscriptions@activepdf.com to verify your current Annual Subscription status and request the upgrade.
